Corsica wine is wine made on the Mediterranean island of Corsica. The island is a territorial collectivity of France, but many of the region's winemaking traditions and its grape varieties are Italian in origin. The region's viticultural history can be traced to the island's settlement by Phoceans traders in 570 BC in what is now the commune of Aleria.
Join over a dozen winemakers as they pour many of their most recent vintages for you to enjoy. Wines from wineries from Clos Alivu to Les Vignerons Corsicans will be paired with cheeses throughout the evening.
To make you experience the island, ABLE has selected two NYC based artists, photographer Aaron Zebrook and painter Gabriela Bravo Clavello, to travel to Corsica during harvest season and capture Corsica’s soul. Gabriela and Aaron’s travels and discoveries are exclusively on display for this event through a compilation of photography and mixed media installations that use physical organic elements from Corsica.
