An undisputed highlight of New York City's autumn social calendar, The Annual Chefs for Impact Gala assembles stars of the culinary world and a crowd of compassionate philanthropists to benefit providing quality education to children in rural Africa.
8 chefs from some of New York's best restaurants will prepare and present a signature dish, showing off their kitchen prowess while playing to the palate of eager epicureans.
Mix and mingle over cocktails and some African Tacos, Roasted Jerusalem Artichoke Soup with hazelnuts, grapefruit, preserved lemon and ginger, and more, delighting in the great company and the intro to what flavorful nosh lies ahead.
A sit-down dinner consisting of 4 courses showcases the full range of each chef's repertoire, from the Grilled Chicken Yassa with caramelized onion lime confit & olives over jollof fonio, to the Beet Carpaccio studded with ricotta cheese, orange, and pistachio dukkah.
A sweet finish to an otherworldly supper (complete with a live and silent auction of coveted prizes!) will translate in Coconut Sponge with ube cream, jackfruit, palm seeds, and toasted coconut - but not before taking advantage of the 3.5 Hour Premium Open Bar of cocktails, wines, and beers to balance each bite.
