Are we looking for love, or for a project? Can we really change someone? Can someone with a strong personality, or will, truly be “tamed”? And such is the case in this Shakespeare classic. Petruchio comes to “wive it weathily in Padua,” and is immediately thrust into the world of “Katherine the curst!” Sparks fly, as do fists and thus begins one of the sharpest, wittiest and sexiest exchanges of wordplay in Shakespeare’s canon. And as the battle rages and the stakes are raised, the question begs asking, “who is actually being tamed?”
