Join Velo City and the Art of Food and Sake on a bike ride as we explore community gardens in Brooklyn. During the tour we will look at the history of community gardens and some of the innovations that are taking place in community gardening and urban agriculture. This tour is a fundraiser for Velo City's youth cycling based education programs.
Following the tour, participants will have a chance to experience delicate Japanese cuisine and carefully selected sakes from the family recipes of a native Japanese chef based in New York City. The food tasting is inspired from the community gardens and local, fresh produce from the gardens will be used.
