Develop your green thumb while you help restore Riverside Park....and also have something great to write about if you ever decide to apply to graduate school :)!!! We'll be taking part in the Woodland Restoration Project. The Riverside Park Fund and other foundations are collaborating on a multi-year project to restore Riverside Park's historic woodland landscape.
As a volunteer, you'll work on weeding and gardening and help stabilize the trees that are currently planted in the park. Dress comfortably and be prepared to get dirty! Wear closed-toed shoes and don't bring additional bags, if possible, as there is no place to store belongings.
Take the #1 train to 116th Street. Walk west on 116th Street until you hit Riverside Drive. Cross Riverside Drive and go down the steps to your left into the Park. You will find us on the upper path, in front of the slope!
