Staten Island’s Snug Harbor Cultural Center tonight begins its free outdoor Movies Under the Stars series with a screening of “Mamma Mia!”
All movies are preceded with live music by local bands from 7 p.m. on the East Meadow. Beach towels, folding chairs, and coolers are allowed. Water and popcorn will be sold and plastic chairs will be available to rent.
Movies Under the Stars schedule:
June 25 - “Mamma Mia!”
July 9 - “Jaws”
July 16 -“Close Encounters of the Third Kind”
July 23 - “Madagascar”
Snug Harbor is on the waterfront, (originally built as a “haven for aged, decrepit and worn out sailors,”) on Richmond Terrace, about 10 minutes by bus from the Staten Island Ferry terminal.
