Attention commuters: America's egg farmers have an egg-citing announcement about eggs! Stop by Vanderbilt Halt from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10 to hear the news about the good egg. While there, you can also sample tasty egg dishes and talk to egg farmers. Activities include: - Feed Me for a Day in NYC FREE samples of easy grab-and-go egg recipes Interactive cooking demonstrations with fellow New Yorker, Howard Helmer, the World's Fastest Omelet Maker and Jeffrey Saad, Cooking Channel host of "United Tastes of America" Fight hunger by signing the Good Egg Project pledge to "Eat good and do good every day." For every signature, America's egg farmers will donate one egg to Feeding America More than 3 million New York City residents experienced difficulty affording food in 2010, which is why America's egg farmers will also be donating 100,000 eggs on February 9, to the Food Bank of New York City, the largest food bank in the metropolitan area. The food bank serves more than 1,000 community-based member programs and helps to provide 400,000 free meals a day for New Yorkers in need.
