USQ welcomes wine speaker laureate Adrian Chalk to the Salon for this first in a two part focus on our favorite California Cabernets. Part I will explore wines from ye olde school of California, namely producers who helped shape the American wine landscape as we know it. The wine program will feature cellar selections and new releases from wineries such as Mayacamas, Jordan, Ridge, Mount Eden, Heitz, and Dunn. Attendees will enjoy Cabernets that marry elegance to power, with rich fruit balanced by fresh acids, and polished tannins. In the current age of Napa blockbusters, these gems have sadly become few and far between.
