We LOVE The Lincoln Center and love it even more when they offer us a spectacular free performance, saving us $100 plus dollars on some ticketed events. Well, we're very lucky this week that this week they bring us the awesome Sean Lee! - A Performance from Sean Lee! With performances described as “breathtakingly beautiful” by The New York Times, violinist Sean Lee is quickly gaining recognition as one of today’s most talented young artists, already having received top prizes at the “Premio Paganini” International Violin Competition of Genoa and the Young Concert Artists, Inc. International Auditions. While studying for six years at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of the acclaimed Itzhak Perlman, Lee performed as a soloist with the Juilliard Orchestra and led that ensemble as a concertmaster during four seasons, performing at venues including Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Shanghai Grand Theatre, and Beijing’s National Center for the Performing Arts under the batons of David Robertson, Xian Zhang, David Atherton, Alan Gilbert, and others. Music of Spain features favorites of the Spanish tradition, including excerpts from Isaac Albeniz’s Suite española, Manuel de Falla’s Suite populaire espagnole, and Pablo de Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy.
