From the Kissaki Hospitality Group (Kissaki Bowery, Kissaki UWS, Saishin) comes this newly minted haven of seafood. Executive Chef Chris Jaeckle of Michelin-starred Morimoto & Eleven Madison Park-fame is dedicated to honoring traditional Japanese cuisine, best showcases in the exquisite lineup of fare on deck.
Sip fine sake while you swig scrumptious soup to start, moving on to Spicy Tuna Maki for a bit of heat. Next up, the Temaki, aka open-faced sushi hand rolls made from warm rice, crisp nori, and fresh seafood. Imagine creations like the Kanpachi (baby yellowtail, plum soy green apple), or the Akami repping lean bluefin tuna, roasted almond, and shiitake, each bite a divine display of the ocean's bounties.

It's all about quality of ingredients, with fresh catches flown in from Japan daily, as well as local seafood sourced from nearby sustainable purveyors. The result? Outstandingly fresh, flavor packed elements that will impress your palate. Plus, a few glasses of sake or beers will heighten the effect, so bite, sip, and swoon over this enchanting endeavor.
Soup starts the repast, as well as so masterfully prepared Salmon Maki, setting the stage for what's to come. The main stars are the Temaki, akin to a hand roll but made open-faced. Standouts include the Sake Temaki with salmon, miso, and tama arare, the Striped Bass with plum soy & crunchy garlic glaze, and Ebi (torched shrimp, yuzu mayo), just to name a few.
